Angler Realm is a non-existent movie about an evolved anglerfish with a sucking light portal as a gateway to a new dimension while destructing everything in its path. To create a poster for this film, I used a technique called Photobashing to create one scene out of multiple images.
Objective
To come up with a non-existing movie and design the movie idea on a poster that consists of a set mood and theme with creation from the movie as a primary visual. A genre or two could be used for this poster such as horror, fantasy, sci-fi, war, western, monster, zombie, disaster, or action. Celebrity images, comedy, biopics, drama, documentary, family, animation, or romance genres were forbidden to use. The challenge is that there is no focal or main character, but a scene using and manipulating online images.

Process
In crafting this movie poster “Angler Realm,” I envisioned a narrative where a colossal, evolved anglerfish employs its luminous light as a gateway to a new dimension, sucking everything into its mysterious realm. This peril becomes known to the human world, prompting a courageous group of scientists to embark on a risky expedition into the unknown.
Sketching initial ideas, I conceptualized a scene where an array of sea creatures frantically swim away from the engulfing light of the anglerfish. In the digital creation process using Adobe Photoshop, I meticulously incorporated a variety of online-sourced images to evoke the essence of a disaster unfolding. Against a dark blue background, elements such as a scuba diver, coral reefs, a galaxy, a black hole, seals, sharks, fish, and a stingray were arranged to construct a visually compelling and chaotic scenario. The bubble brush tool was employed to impart a sense of movement and simulate the captivating ‘sucking’ effect caused by the anglerfish’s portal. To enhance the visual dynamics, I used light rays emanating from the sea creatures, adding depth perception to the overall composition. The wordmark, designed with sharp and energetic typography, not only mirrors the menacing teeth of the anglerfish but also holds the suspenseful and energetic tone of the movie.
